If I were to describe myself I would say that I come off as very quiet at first but as soon as a conversation is stirred up, I am an outspoken and funny person. I was born on December 9th, which makes me Sagittarius. I enjoy helping people simply because I feel that if you give to others, you will always receive something back in return. As Francis of Assisi states "For it is in giving that we receive." I live strongly by that quote. I share a passion for singing and playing badminton. Many people would not know that I sing although I am  a member of the Milton High Chorus ensemble. I like the sport tennis because it gets very competitive and serious. I like sports that require putting in effort because then it makes me want to put a lot more effort into winning because losing will not be an option. Whenever I play tennis and win I gain a lot more confidence and it makes me feel good about myself. I also like running which is why I have been looking forward to joining the Cross Country Team this year in hopes of boosting my speed and agility. I like traveling a lot; during the 16 years of my life I have traveled to 5 states and 3 countries. 

The country that I enjoyed the most was Antigua and Barbuda because My moms side of the family resides over there, and I am always fascinated and eager to be able to visit them and learn more about their customs and what they do opposite from me. 

Much of my prior school years were never as enticing as this year so far. I am finally able to call myself a junior and the more that I think about it, the more I realize that I'm on my way to exploring the world and being able to fend for myself. My effort was good throughout high school but Junior year makes me want to push myself a lot more, not just because this is basically the last year to show colleges what I am really about but because I conclude that it will help me grow as a person and allow me to experience other choices that could build me into becoming a better person.
