Who is Zack Fischer

Who is Zack Fischer?  Zack Fischer is an athlete, an intellectual, a thinker, a writer and anything he sets his mind to be.  He describes what he can be like the song by 30H!3, "I can be anything".  When Zack wants to be an athlete, that is what he is.  He currently plays football and wrestles.  In the past he has done basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, badminton, volleyball, lacrosse, and track.  He still plays basketball and soccer with his friends but just pickup games.  If he could, Zack would play football, soccer, wrestling and basketball together, but those four sports coincide with each other.  Zack is thinking about playing baseball this year, but he isn't sure if that's what he really wants.  It could just be a dream that he has no intention of sticking to.
Zack Fischer does have big dreams for the future however.  He is looking to either become a lawyer or a marine biologist, he can't decide.  He feels that a lawyer might be more fun (maybe), but he is better equipped to succeed as a marine biologist.  Math and history come very easy to him.  Science and English is more challenging.  Sometimes when he is writing a paper or essay, Zack can get writers block.  As said by John Trimble, the blank page can scare novice writers (this is not a direct quote from his book Writing with Style, Conversations on the Art of Writing, merely a paraphrase). But when he gets a good idea or a topic started, he usually can run with it for a while.
Zack Fischer is a christian.  He goes to the Boston Church Of Christ.  He was baptized last Easter.  His whole family attends this church.
Zack also loves to watch TV and play video games.  His favorite game was The Last of Us, which is a video game for the Playstation 3.  He loves to watch Arrow, The Walking Dead, and Family Guy.
Zack lives at home with his mom, his dad, and two syblings.  He has a younger brother named Xavier, who is now a freshman.  He also has a younger sister named Alexis, who is in 7th grade.
Zack is looking forward to his Junior year, he plans to figure out what he is capable of if he pushes himself, which he has not done much in the past.  AP English is one way he plans to do this, since he is coming from of an on level English course last year.  That is who Zack Fischer is.

  1. Thanks Zack for this nice intro.

Be aware of your sentence structure. It gets very repetitive. You pretty much stick with a very basic subject + verb + object/prepositional phrase structure. This is boring. Also, you really overuse the verb "to be." Try to use some more creative action verbs. I appreciate that you posted early, but I think a bit more time spent polishing this would have been wise. You did the hard work, which was to develop the ideas. What you did not do was return to your writing to perfect the style. The standard in our class this year will be perfection. I do, however, appreciate the Trimble reference. Citing authors always lends a bit of credibility to a presentation.

Regardless, I look forward to working with you this year.
